We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and allowing extra time if you prefer to take the ascent at a relaxed pace.

Please note

The BridgeMuseum may not be suitable for visitors who:

  • Are unable to climb or descend stairs unaided (including those who require a walking aid or assistance from another person)

Experience & History

BridgeClimb is an iconic Australian experience, offering a world-class adventure on the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Step onto the Bridge in a small group of up to 14 guests and take in breathtaking views while your expert Tour Guides share the engineering and cultural history of this world-famous landmark — all while keeping you safe and entertained.

It’s an active, fully hosted Sydney must-do! A bucket-list adventure with a powerful sense of achievement and unforgettable 360-degree Harbour views.

Inside the Bridge’s South-East Pylon, the story continues. While BridgeClimb delivers the thrill of standing above Sydney Harbour, the BridgeMuseum offers a complementary experience: an immersive, self-guided journey through the Bridge’s history. Through interactive displays, historic memorabilia, and rich multimedia storytelling, visitors can explore the Bridge’s design, engineering, construction, and cultural significance in depth. It’s a self‑guided experience designed for curiosity, discovery, and learning at your own pace.

Together, the two experiences complement each other beautifully:

  • BridgeClimb gives you the exhilaration and perspective of standing at the Summit of the Bridge.
  • The BridgeMuseum deepens your understanding of the Bridge’s history, innovation, and impact.

We recommend doing both for a complete appreciation of this world‑famous structure.

Given the BridgeMuseum’s limited space and unique design, there are currently no plans to add artefacts beyond those already selected for display.
